Nigerian entertainer and activist Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has revealed that he is actively searching for a wife for his 46-year-old son.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Charly Boy described his son as a master’s degree holder, 5ft 11 inches tall, and “very humble.” He disclosed that the son had been married before but divorced, adding that he now appears to fear women.
“My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now, e be like say e dey fear woman,” he wrote in part.
The 73-year-old entertainer said he is specifically looking for a woman from a “good home with humble beginnings” and emphasized that only genuine graduates should reach out.
“I need to tie him to Nigeria,” he added, noting that his son will be returning to the country next month.
The unusual matchmaking appeal has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some fans amused and others intrigued by Charly Boy’s candid approach to finding a partner for his son.
