Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has pulled even with Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen on the leaderboard for the season’s UEFA Champions League highest goalscorers.
Haaland netted a goal during Man City’s recent 2-1 victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday.1 This goal raised his total tally in the competition to six goals. Before the Matchday 6 fixture, the Norway international had five goals, while Osimhen held the second position outright with six goals.
Both Haaland and Osimhen now trail significantly behind the current leading scorer, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé, who boasts a remarkable nine goals already this season.
