The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued important guidelines for candidates shortlisted for its ongoing online Computer-Based Test (CBT).
In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja, the Board’s Secretary, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, advised all shortlisted candidates to log into the examination portal 30 minutes before the scheduled start time each day.
According to Jibril, the CBT phase of the recruitment exercise, which began on Wednesday, will run daily from 9:00 a.m. through next week. The exercise covers recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
He emphasized that only officially scheduled candidates will be granted access to the test portal, which will open 30 minutes before each candidate’s exam session.
“To access the exam, candidates should visit the Board’s official portal at their selected exam time. They must complete the photo verification process and remain in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically,” Jibril stated.
The Secretary further urged candidates to study and strictly adhere to all examination rules to avoid disqualification.
He warned that the system is equipped to detect malpractice, third-party interference, and device manipulation, noting that the CBT sessions will be AI-proctored throughout.
“Candidates must ensure a stable internet connection, steady power supply, and use a suitable device preferably a laptop. While mobile phones and tablets can be used, interruptions such as calls or switching applications will trigger violation alerts. Repeated violations will lead to automatic disqualification,” he added.
Jibril concluded by encouraging all participants to prepare adequately and comply fully with the exam procedures to ensure a smooth and fair recruitment process.
