American rapper Cardi B has welcomed a newborn with her boyfriend, NFL star Steffon Diggs, marking a significant personal milestone as her divorce from Offset continues.
Cardi B announced the baby’s arrival in an Instagram post on Friday, sharing her excitement about embracing a fresh start. “Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it,” she wrote. “I brought a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me… so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
The birth comes in the middle of the rapper’s ongoing separation from her estranged husband, Offset, with whom she shares three children. She filed for divorce in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.
In February 2025, Offset requested joint custody of their children and proposed that Cardi B’s home serve as their primary residence. By May 2025, he updated his filing to include a request for spousal support as part of the settlement.
