American rap star Cardi B has addressed her reputation for being surrounded by controversy, insisting she is not a fan of drama but often finds herself in the middle of it.
The Grammy-winning rapper, who recently made headlines after announcing she is pregnant with NFL player Stefon Diggs while still undergoing divorce proceedings with her estranged husband, Offset, opened up during an interview with CBS.
“I didn’t think I was that much drama,” Cardi admitted. “When I was in high school and I was voted most dramatic in my high school yearbook, I was surprised. I don’t like drama, it just follows me. Sometimes, certain things just follow certain people.”
She explained that her outspoken nature and strong personality make her an easy target for controversy.
“When you have a big personality like me, or when you have a mouth like me, or whatever aura I give, drama will follow you because it makes you an easier target. I don’t like drama. It stresses me,” she said.
Cardi B, known for her unfiltered candor both in music and public life, continues to dominate headlines as fans weigh in on her personal and professional choices.
