The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the nominees in the men’s categories for the CAF Awards 2025, honouring the continent’s finest players, coaches, clubs, and national teams.
The awards recognise exceptional performances and contributions to African and global football between January 6 and October 15, 2025, highlighting those who have left a mark on the game during the period.
In a statement released on Monday via its official website, CAF revealed that a panel of experts—comprising members of the CAF Technical & Development Committee, seasoned coaches, CAF Legends, and selected media representatives—shortlisted 10 nominees per category based on individual and team achievements across all competitions.
Cameroon’s André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah lead the star-studded list following impressive campaigns with Napoli and Liverpool, respectively, as well as standout performances for their national teams.
Other notable nominees include Fiston Mayele (DR Congo/Pyramids), whose prolific goals helped Pyramids clinch the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/PSG), Victor Osimhen (Nigeria/Galatasaray), and Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal/Everton).
The CAF Awards 2025 will celebrate Africa’s football excellence, honouring both established stars and emerging talents who have continued to elevate the continent’s presence on the global stage.
