The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has completed a comprehensive preparation course for referees selected to officiate at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The training, held in Cairo, Egypt, brought together referees, assistant referees, video assistant referees (VAR), and both technical and physical instructors.
CAF explained that the objective of the programme is to ensure match officials are fully prepared and equipped ahead of the tournament.
Last week, the continental body confirmed a total of 73 officials for AFCON 2025, comprising:

14 VAR officials
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
