Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidosic has applauded Chiamaka Nnadozie following her outstanding debut for the club.
The Nigerian international joined the Seagulls this summer on a free transfer after leaving French side Paris FC.
Nnadozie, 24, made her first appearance in Brighton’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday, where she impressed with her composure and was voted Player of the Match.
Vidosic praised the goalkeeper’s assured performance, saying:
“Chia didn’t have to make any massive saves, but she commanded her area well and the players in front of her protected her very well,” he told the club’s official website.
The reigning CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year is expected to play a key role for Brighton this season as they aim to build on their Women’s Super League campaign.
