Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has met with US President Donald Trump. Mrs Tinubu met with Trump at the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast on Capitol Hill where the American President invited her to join him on stage on Thursday, after describing her as a “very respected woman” who serves as a pastor at the “largest church in Nigeria.”
Against a background of applause, Trump said, “We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria. A very respected woman. First Lady, please, where are you? Thank you very much.”
Trump’s remarks highlights the First Lady’s dual role as a national leader and religious figure, underscoring her prominence both within Nigeria and on the international stage.
