Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has reacted with shock after learning that a fraudster posing as him defrauded a woman of ₦33 million.
The victim, identified as Victoria Ayano, alleged in a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that a man named Bolanle Azeez impersonated the actor and collected the huge sum from her under false pretenses.
Sharing the petition on Instagram, Ninalowo expressed disbelief, asking, “Which kine juju be this naa?” He went on to stress that he has never been paid such an amount in Nollywood. “₦33,000,000 for wetin? Even Nollywood wey blow me never pay me ₦33 million per film,” he wrote.
The incident comes two years after another man was jailed in 2023 for impersonating the actor. Despite past legal actions, Ninalowo continues to face multiple cases of online identity theft. In March 2025, he raised alarm over several TikTok and social media accounts created in his name to defraud unsuspecting users.
The actor’s ordeal highlights the growing trend of cyber scams and impersonation targeting Nigerian celebrities, raising calls for stronger digital identity protection and stricter enforcement against fraudsters.
