The police in Wamala Region have opened investigations into the suspected murder of Henry Lubwama Kisitu, a resident of Kyengera town council in Wakiso district.
Kisutu’s body was found dumped in Bukyanga Cell, Koboga Town in Kiboga district, and according to regional police spokesperson Lameck Kigozi, the body was discovered by Robert Kawuki, a resident of the area.
Kawuki had gone to dispose of the carcass of a family dog in a nearby thicket when he stumbled on Kisitu’s lifeless body. Preliminary information indicates that Kisitu had reportedly been missing for several days before his body was found.
Police believe he may have been killed elsewhere and his body transported and dumped in Bukyanga Cell to conceal the crime. Kigozi said the body bore visible signs of physical assault, suggesting foul play.
The police have appealed to the public, particularly those in Kyengera, Bukyanga, and surrounding areas, to volunteer any information that could help identify suspects, trace the motive, or establish a timeline of events leading to Kisitu’s death.
