Bendel Insurance technical adviser Kennedy Boboye has praised Kun Khalifat FC for their impressive performance in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Kayode Oke opened the scoring for Bendel Insurance to earn the visitors a valuable away point in Boboye’s first game in charge, before Uche Moses equalised for the hosts.
Speaking after the match, Boboye lauded the Owerri-based side for their tactical organisation and fighting spirit.
“It’s like coming home to play here in Owerri, this is my home, so I made my team feel at home,” Boboye told reporters.
“We played against a good team in Kun Khalifat FC — they are tactically disciplined and determined, which helped them get the equaliser.”
