Afrobeats singer Daniel Etiese Benson, popularly known as BNXN, has issued a public apology to fans following disruptions at his The Captain Experience concert held in Lagos on December 19, 2025.
The event, which was part of Iconiq Fest at the Landmark Event Centre, featured live performances, guest appearances, and high-energy moments but was marred by organisational challenges that reportedly prevented some ticket holders from gaining access to the venue.
Reacting to the incident, BNXN expressed regret over the experience of affected fans, stating that the situation should never have occurred. He attributed the entry issues to the actions of the event organisers, alleging that profit was prioritised over crowd control and fan safety.
According to the singer, it was unacceptable that fans with valid tickets were unable to enter the venue despite planning to attend the show.
BNXN stressed that he would never intentionally place his supporters or music lovers in a dangerous or uncomfortable situation, adding that the incident went against his values as an artist.
He further reassured fans of his commitment to their safety and well-being, while apologising to everyone whose concert experience was negatively affected.
The incident has since sparked conversations online about event management standards and crowd control at large-scale entertainment shows in Nigeria, with many fans calling for stricter enforcement of safety measures at concerts and festivals.
