Nollywood actress and movie producer Blessing Obasi Nze has revealed how she and her husband, actor Stan Nze, manage finances in their marriage.
In a candid interview with Ife, Blessing explained that their approach is grounded in mutual responsibility and trust, rather than a fixed financial formula. Each partner contributes what they can, with no emphasis on who pays more.
“We operate on 100/100. There is no 50/50 with me and my partner. We just do things equally. Sometimes he pays and sends me the receipt; I do the same. Our goal is to make it work,” she said. “I can’t be doing 50/50 or 70/30 because it feels like office work already.”
Blessing added that the couple pays for expenses as needed and keeps receipts to maintain transparency, highlighting that their financial system is team-oriented and designed to avoid formal or transactional dynamics.
She emphasised that their approach focuses on partnership and support, with each stepping in wherever necessary, creating a sense of unity rather than division.
Blessing Nze married Stan Nze in September 2021, and the couple welcomed their first child in October 2023. She believes their trust-based financial system has played a key role in maintaining harmony and collaboration in their marriage.
