Controversial relationship coach Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has denied reports that she was physically assaulted by her fiancé, IVD.
Two days earlier, the social media personality had shared a disturbing video on her Instagram page, appearing distressed and calling for urgent help. The clip, which was later deleted, showed her in tears as she raised concerns over IVD’s mental state, prompting widespread speculation that she was a victim of domestic violence.
The video quickly went viral, drawing criticism from social media users who accused Blessing of hypocrisy, recalling how she once defended IVD when he was accused of assaulting his late wife.
Amid the backlash, Blessing CEO released a statement clarifying that her post was misinterpreted, insisting that the video had nothing to do with domestic abuse.
“You all should bring proof that I was beaten by IVD,” she said. “IVD is someone’s brother and someone’s son. Why do you want me to lie that he beat me? Why do you people want to force me to accept domestic violence that doesn’t exist?”
She explained that the incident in the video occurred during a robbery attack, not a domestic dispute, and criticized those spreading false narratives about her relationship.
The couple whose romance has repeatedly sparked online controversy, remains a topic of public debate, with many Nigerians questioning the nature of their union and Blessing CEO’s public defense of her fiancé.
As of press time, IVD has not issued any official comment on the incident.
