Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has expressed deep grief over the death of her colleague and close friend, Allwell Ademola, who passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 49.
In an emotional tribute shared on Instagram, Biola revealed that she and Ademola had plans to spend time together just a day before her sudden passing, a reality she described as difficult to accept.
Recalling their last moments, Biola spoke fondly of the bond they shared, noting that Ademola had recently been at her home during her birthday celebration. She also recounted personally driving her late friend to the premiere of Ageshinkole and bringing her back home afterward.
Describing Ademola as a source of constant joy, Biola said her death has created an irreplaceable void for those who knew her personally and professionally.
“Is that all? Allwell, se o ti tan ni Yemi? We were meant to go out together just a day before. You were still in my house on my birthday, playing as usual,” she wrote. “You were the happiest soul I ever met. Somebody should please wake me up from this terrible nightmare.”
Allwell Ademola’s best friend, actor Rotimi Salami, also paid tribute, sharing his struggle to cope with the loss. He said days of uncontrollable tears could not bring her back, adding that he is trying to stay strong for the sake of family, friends, and fans.
Allwell Ademola was widely respected in Nollywood for her work as an actress, producer, and filmmaker, with a career that left a lasting impact on the Nigerian film industry. Her passing has continued to draw heartfelt tributes from colleagues and admirers across the industry.
