Afro Soul artiste Big Chinni is preparing to soundtrack Valentine’s season with the release of two new singles under a joint project titled Double Love Dose.
The dual release is scheduled for February 13 and features “Baby Yo,” produced by Kristunez, and “Ololufe,” produced by Tbarz. Both tracks explore themes of love, connection and emotional depth.
According to the fast-rising Nigerian singer, the project goes beyond romantic affection. She said the songs are intended to celebrate love in all its forms, from family bonds to friendships and broader social relationships.
“These songs are my way of preaching love, not just intimate love but love that extends to everyone around us,” she explained.
Big Chinni noted that the pre-Valentine release date was carefully chosen to align with a period when emotions are heightened and conversations about love naturally take centre stage. She believes music remains one of the most powerful ways to reinforce messages of unity and compassion.
“Love has and will always have a place because it is not seasonal. It connects people, especially Nigerians, and makes music relatable,” she added.
Signed to Bankerz Musik, Big Chinni has continued to carve a niche within the Afro Soul and Afro RnB space. Her sound blends heartfelt storytelling with contemporary African rhythms, a style that has steadily gained her attention in the evolving Nigerian music scene.
The singer says her creative process is rooted in real-life experiences and genuine emotion, which she channels into melodies aimed at building strong connections with listeners.
Industry watchers suggest the Valentine-themed project could further expand her growing fan base and introduce her sound to a wider audience across the Afro music landscape.
As anticipation builds ahead of the February 13 release, listeners can expect a soulful fusion of rhythm and emotion that reflects Big Chinni’s distinctive artistic identity.
