Real Madrid maintained their perfect start to the Champions League campaign with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Juventus on Wednesday night.
The La Liga giants struggled to break down Igor Tudor’s side for much of the encounter, but Jude Bellingham made the difference in the second half, reacting quickest to a Vinícius Júnior effort that rebounded off the post.
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea produced a masterclass performance, thrashing Ajax 5–1. Goals from Marc Guiu, Moisés Caicedo, Enzo Fernández, Willian Estevão, and Tyrique George sealed an emphatic win for the Blues.
Meanwhile, in Istanbul, Galatasaray celebrated Victor Osimhen as the “best striker in the world” after the Nigerian netted a stunning brace in their 3–1 victory over Bodø/Glimt.
Osimhen opened the scoring just three minutes in, finishing off Mario Lemina’s through pass, before doubling the lead 30 minutes later by capitalizing on a defensive error. Yunus Akgün added a third in the 60th minute, while Andreas Helmersen scored a late consolation for the visitors.
The Super Eagles star has now scored in seven consecutive European matches, taking his Champions League tally to 11 goals, a new club record for Galatasaray.
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich hammered Club Brugge 4–0, Liverpool returned to winning ways with a 5–1 victory at Frankfurt, while the matches between Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur, and Atalanta and Slavia Prague, ended goalless.
