Popular Nigerian singer Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has revealed that he recently discovered a family connection with fellow artist Adekunle Kosoko, widely known as Adekunle Gold.
The 30-year-old claimed that the 39-year-old award-winning singer is his uncle from the royal Kosoko family on Lagos Island.
“Just found out AdekunleGOLD is my uncle, Iga Kosoko mo foh oo small world… So I’m Deja’s uncle. Love it!” Shmurda wrote on social media.
The claim has yet to be confirmed or denied by Adekunle Gold. Fans on X have reacted with skepticism, with many questioning the authenticity of the relationship.
Bella Shmurda is a native of Ikorodu, Lagos, and grew up in the Okokomaiko area of Ojo, Lagos State. This revelation adds a surprising twist to the Nigerian music scene, highlighting potential familial links between two of the country’s popular musicians.
