Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has opened up about the emotional and physical demands that come with life in the spotlight, especially the pressure to maintain a flawless image.
Speaking at a recent public event, the reality TV star admitted that fame has brought unexpected challenges, one of the toughest being the constant expectation to look glamorous at all times.
Imisi revealed that wearing makeup frequently feels unnatural to her, explaining that she has always preferred a clean, simple, and authentic appearance.
“Having to put on makeup every time I go out, especially for events like this, really isn’t my thing,” she said. “I don’t like having products on my face, and I even hate body hair. But because of the image you’re expected to portray, you have to keep your hair, makeup, and nails done.”
The BBNaija winner added that although she understands the need for public figures to look polished, it has been a difficult adjustment for someone who values comfort and natural beauty.
Her candid confession highlights a common struggle among celebrities who often face the burden of maintaining an idealized image, a reminder that fame, while glamorous on the surface, can come with unseen pressures.
