Former Big Brother Naija winner Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, was reportedly involved in a heated altercation at a hotel in Abuja over an alleged ₦200,000 financial dispute.
According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began in the early hours of Tuesday inside Phyna’s hotel room before spilling into the lobby, drawing the attention of guests and staff.
Sources claim the disagreement stemmed from an unsettled payment issue involving ₦200,000, which quickly escalated into a shouting match. The argument intensified when neither side agreed to back down, leading to pushing and chaos within the premises.
Witnesses further alleged that the situation worsened when friends of the parties involved joined the confrontation, turning the verbal exchange into a physical clash.
Security personnel and police officers were reportedly called in to restore order, with officers using teargas to disperse the crowd and prevent further escalation.
The incident comes shortly after Phyna returned to the spotlight following a brief hiatus to mourn the death of her sister, who tragically died in an accident involving a Dangote truck.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident at the Abuja hotel.
