The management team of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate Kuture has spoken out against the harsh treatment he has faced in the ongoing season.
The statement comes after a fellow contestant likened Kuture to “Shrek,” a comment his team described as “profoundly inhumane” and “verbally degrading.”
According to Kuture’s representatives, such remarks go beyond harmless teasing, inflicting long-term emotional distress and undermining a person’s dignity.
“We are deeply saddened by the repeated victimization faced by Kuture, who has once again been ridiculed for his appearance,” the statement reads. “While disagreements are natural in a social setting like the Big Brother house, it is unacceptable to degrade someone based on their natural looks and attributes. Words like these strip away dignity and reduce a human being to the subject of mockery.”
The management team emphasized that Kuture deserves compassion, respect, and the freedom to participate in the house without being demeaned for his appearance. They urged viewers and fellow contestants alike to treat him with understanding and kindness.
This latest controversy adds to growing conversations about the treatment of reality TV contestants, online bullying, and the emotional pressures faced by participants in high-profile shows.
