
Bauchi Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development Hajiya Zainab Takko, have been relieved of her duties.
The decision was approved by Governor Bala Mohammed and announced in a brief statement on Monday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado.
“In that respect, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs & Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko, has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect,” the statement reads.
Gidado added: “The Governor thanks the Honourable Commissioner for her services to the State and wishes her success in her future endeavors.”
The statement described the move as part of “minor cabinet changes” but did not provide further reasons for her removal.
