Atalanta are preparing to dismiss manager Ivan Juric, with the club now in advanced talks to appoint Raffaele Palladino as his replacement.
The update came from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Sunday.
Romano wrote on X: “Atalanta are in advanced talks with Raffaele Palladino to become the new head coach. Ivan Jurić, on the verge of being sacked.”
The move follows days of tension at the club, highlighted by Juric’s clash with Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman during Atalanta’s Champions League victory over Marseille. Lookman reacted angrily after being substituted, prompting Juric to pull him back. The situation escalated before staff intervened to separate both men.
Palladino, who left Monza at the end of last season, is expected to take charge as Atalanta look to steady the team and move past the internal friction.
