The Director-General of the National Senior Citizens Centre (NSCC), Hon. Omobolanle Akinyemi-Obe, has sung the praises of Bernard Doro as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction with optimism.
Welcoming the Minister, the NSCC Boss remains hopeful that the emergence and subsequent assumption of office would bode well for the Centre and that his extensive experience and dedication to social development would revitalize humanitarian services, particularly for older persons and disadvantaged communities across the country.
In his inaugural address, Doro pledged to enhance ongoing efforts to lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
He reiterated his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing that the ministry will increase its focus on social empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable poverty alleviation initiatives.
Under his leadership, he assured that the ministry would collaborate with relevant agencies, development partners, and civil society organizations to implement impactful programs benefiting the poor, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups.
Dr. Doro’s assumption of office signals a renewed commitment in the government’s ongoing campaign against poverty and its pledge to foster a more inclusive and resilient society.
