Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito says his team are determined to improve on their league form when they face Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first-leg tie at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Zito explained that the Porcupine Warriors have worked on the lapses spotted during their opening-day league win over Berekum Chelsea.
“The preparation is good and we are fighting to polish our performance from the win against Berekum Chelsea before meeting Kwara United,” Zito said in a pre-match interview.
The return leg will take place a week later at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Kuto, Nigeria.
Kwara United last featured in the continental competition in 2023.
