frobeats singer Asake has been captured in a viral video trying to reach the Black Stone during a pilgrimage in Mecca.
In the widely circulated clip, the music star, whose real name is Ololade Ahmed, was seen being lifted by people around him as he attempted to get close enough to touch the revered stone embedded in the Kaaba.
The attempt appeared challenging due to the heavy crowd of pilgrims gathered around the holy structure. Many worshippers at the site were also trying to approach the stone, creating a tightly packed environment.
The footage showed Asake surrounded by thousands of Muslims performing prayers and other religious rites at the Masjid al-Haram, the largest mosque in the world and the most sacred location in Islam.
The singer is currently in Mecca during Ramadan, a period when large numbers of Muslims travel to the holy city for worship, prayer and spiritual reflection.
In the video, Asake was dressed in a white robe similar to the garments worn by many pilgrims visiting the holy sites.
Earlier, the Afrobeats star also shared a clip on his social media page showing the moment he prayed at Raudhatul Jannah, a revered prayer space located inside Masjid an-Nabawi.
The video has since attracted attention online, with fans reacting to the singer’s appearance at one of Islam’s most sacred pilgrimage sites.
