Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake made history on Saturday by becoming the first African artist to headline the U.S. edition of Red Bull Symphonic at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre.
The sold-out show featured a 33-piece orchestra reimagining some of Asake’s biggest hits, including “Lonely at the Top” and “Terminator,” blending classical music with his signature Afrobeats sound.
The performance also included surprise appearances from Wizkid, Gunna, Central Cee, Tiakola, and Fridayy, joining Asake on collaborative tracks such as “MMS” and “Happiness.”
Fans were treated to a preview of an unreleased track from his upcoming album, Mr. Money, adding to the excitement of the historic night.
The event marks a milestone not only for Asake’s career but also for the global reach of Afrobeats, showcasing how the genre continues to fuse with diverse musical styles on international stages.
