Preparations are in full swing for the Artistic Pulse Festival (APF), scheduled from December 3–7 at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.
With the theme “Footprints of Interconnectivity, Growth and Expansion: Creativity, Culture, Commerce and Innovation,” the festival aims to unite artists, entrepreneurs, innovators, and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate creativity while promoting sustainable development.
Founder and CEO of NMO Management Limited, Dr. Ngozi Omambala, described the festival as Africa’s first sustainable recycling festival, highlighting its goal of fusing music, fashion, film, technology, and innovation within an eco-conscious framework.
“The Artistic Pulse Festival is more than an event; it’s a cultural awakening showcasing what a conscious Africa can achieve,” she said.
Over five days, APF will feature live music performances, fashion shows, Nollywood film screenings, art installations, and workshops for children in the Art Play Zone, encouraging young minds to explore eco-friendly creative expression.
Complementing these showcases is the Pan-African 11th Annual Music Fashion Runway (MFR), a flagship event blending style, sound, and African identity, alongside the APF Trade Fair supporting SMEs in fashion, food, and technology sectors.
A headline performance by American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is expected to draw international attention, while symposiums, debates, and workshops will engage African thought leaders on the intersections of culture, commerce, and sustainability. Dr. Omambala emphasized that APF is designed not only to entertain but to boost Nigeria’s creative economy, generate jobs, attract tourism, and unlock $3.9 billion in non-oil exports.
Industry stakeholders, including Gabriel Idahosa, Chairman of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), and Ms. Shade Bembatoum-Young, Honorary Life Vice President of LCCI, underscored the importance of promoting Nigerian-made products and cultural heritage.
Ms. Yemisi Ransome-Kuti, Co-Founder of Lagos Island Connect, described the festival as a true reflection of the city’s soul, demonstrating how creativity, commerce, and culture can drive sustainable growth.
