Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been advised to sign Quinten Timber, the twin brother of Jurrien Timber, ahead of the January transfer window.
Former Manchester United assistant coach, Rene Meulensteen, believes the Feyenoord midfielder could strengthen the Gunners’ push for the Premier League title.
Meulensteen, who praised both brothers, said their quality and mentality could make a huge difference for Arsenal this season.
“Jurrien Timber will be key if Arsenal do win the title. He’s a competitor. He’s versatile. He can play in different positions,” Meulensteen told BetVictor.
“Obviously his brother is playing at Feyenoord; he’s a very good player as well who Arsenal could keep an eye on. They’re good, and I like Jurrien. He brings this bit of grit that Arsenal need, and on top of that, he’s a very, very good player.”
Quinten Timber, 24, began his career at Ajax before joining Utrecht, where he was named Player of the Year in 2022. He later moved to Feyenoord, helping them win the Eredivisie title in 2023.
