Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Martin Ødegaard, Kai Havertz, and Noni Madueke are close to making their return from injury and could feature in the upcoming Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on November 23.
The trio have all been sidelined with knee injuries, with Ødegaard last featuring on October 4, Madueke on September 21, and Havertz since the opening weekend of the season.
Before facing their North London rivals, Arsenal will play three consecutive away matches ahead of the November international break.
Speaking at a press conference, Arteta expressed optimism about the players’ progress:
“Yeah, I’m excited because they are tremendous players. I see them work every single day, how desperate they are to be part of the team. The huge boost that is going to be for the squad to have those players again, after such a long, long time, so really happy that I think it’s going to be very soon.”
The potential return of the trio is expected to provide a major lift for the league leaders as they continue their strong run in both domestic and European competitions.
