Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes his former club are now “heavy favourites” to win the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners currently sit four points clear at the top of the table, maintaining a strong advantage over their closest rivals — six points ahead of Manchester City and seven above Liverpool.
Speaking with TribalFootball, Parlour said Arsenal’s focus should remain on consistency rather than the title chase itself.
“I’m sure they are heavy, heavy favourites to win the league now. They’ve just got to keep going — not think about the league, but keep trying to win football matches, and sooner or later, they will get the job done,” he said.
Parlour added that Arsenal’s recent rise has also benefited from other results going their way.
“You’ve just got to win your football matches and hopefully other teams will do you a favour, which is what happened this weekend,” he noted.
