The Gunners, looking to recover from their 1-0 defeat at Liverpool before the international break, controlled proceedings from the outset.
Martin Zubimendi broke the deadlock with a fine volley before half-time. Just moments into the second half, Eberechi Eze set up Viktor Gyökeres to make it 2-0.
Zubimendi then completed his brace with a well-timed header from Leandro Trossard’s cross, sealing a commanding win for Mikel Arteta’s men.
The result lifts Arsenal to nine points from four matches, temporarily sending them top of the table. Liverpool could reclaim first place on Sunday when they face Burnley at Turf Moor.
