Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare has admitted that his side faces a tough challenge against Chelsea in their Carabao Cup fourth-round fixture on Wednesday night.
Wolves have endured a difficult Premier League campaign so far but have shown strong form in the Carabao Cup, having defeated Everton 2-0 in the previous round — a game in which Arokodare scored his first goal for the club.
The 24-year-old believes that a victory over Enzo Maresca’s side could help revive Wolves’ season, but he remains realistic about the difficulty of the task ahead.
“Obviously, it’s not going to be an easy game because of the team and the stage we are in the tournament, and also because of our previous results in the league,” Arokodare told the club’s official website.
“But so far in the Carabao Cup, we’ve been doing pretty good, and we’re going to try to continue that.”
Wolves will host Chelsea at Molineux Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. (Nigerian time).
