Governors from Nigeria’s South West, alongside former Osun State Governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, are set to headline the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CACGram) South West Summit 2026.
The Director-General of the Tinubu Ambode Support Group, Dr. Seyi Bamgbade, made this known in Lagos, describing the summit as a defining moment for stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the region.
He emphasized that the gathering represents a strategic call to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures, and sustain mobilisation efforts toward the 2027 general elections.
Among other high-profile dignitaries expected at the summit are Senator Solomon Adeola (YAYI); the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu; the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; and House of Representatives member, James Abiodun Faleke.
Also billed to attend are the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa, and Mr. Seyi Tinubu.
The summit will further host key South West governors, including Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State; Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State; and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.
According to Bamgbade, the summit—convened under the CACGram platform by the APC’s grassroots mobilisation team—will serve as a powerful rallying point for unity, strategy, and renewed commitment to progressive governance in the South West.
“As Nigeria continues to witness the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the South West remains steadfast in strengthening the foundations of progressive leadership and national development,” he stated.
Themed, “Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda: Mobilising 10 Million Votes for PBAT 2027,” the summit is designed to energise party faithful, harmonise grassroots strategies, and reinforce a collective resolve to secure overwhelming electoral support across the zone.
Bamgbade described the gathering as more than a routine political event, noting that it represents a strategic convergence aimed at expanding the party’s influence from the ward level to the national stage.
He added that the anticipated participation of Ambode, Oyetola, and other APC stalwarts signals growing unity within the party and a shared determination to consolidate achievements while strengthening cohesion ahead of future elections.
