The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched an electronic membership registration exercise in Enugu State, targeting the enrolment of at least 1.2 million members.
APC Caretaker Chairman in the state, Ben Nwoye, announced this during the flag-off of a training programme for supervisors responsible for coordinating registration at local government, ward, and polling unit levels. He described the online registration initiative as a new phase in the party’s organisational structure, aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in party administration.
“The training programme is designed to familiarise supervisors with the e-registration process and ensure smooth coordination at the grassroots”, Nwoye said.
He added that the supervisors, as key stakeholders at the ward level, will oversee the registration of members across the state to strengthen the party’s structure and grassroots presence.
Nwoye further emphasised that an organised party would support broader development objectives, noting that effective political participation contributes to governance and societal growth in Enugu State.
Also at the event, APC E-Registration Chairman in the state, Flavour Eze, praised the state government’s approach to governance, saying recent developments had attracted positive attention to Enugu.
He called on residents and party members to actively participate in the registration exercise, stressing that public support and engagement would help advance development and strengthen political representation within the APC.
