Ahead of its 2026 congresses and national convention, governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress have agreed on a framework to ensure transparency and accountability across the party’s internal processes.
Meeting under the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), the governors endorsed the timetable and framework approved by the APC National Executive Committee for ward, local government, state, zonal congresses, and the National Convention.
The resolutions were issued in a communiqué after a closed-door meeting Wednesday night at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
According to the APC schedule, ward congresses will hold on February 18, local government congresses on February 20, state congresses on March 7, zonal congresses on March 21, and the National Convention on March 28, 2026. The also governors expressed appreciation to APC leadership and pledged continued collaboration to deliver a credible, transparent, and unifying congress and convention process.
