The All Progressives Congress (APC) extends its electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026, in response to requests from party stakeholders seeking more time for participation.
The decision follows the 183rd meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja. According to the party, the extension is intended to allow more supporters and existing members to register, update, and validate their membership records on the electronic platform.
Alongside the extension, the NWC approves adjustments to the party’s congress and convention schedule as part of preparations for upcoming internal activities. Ward Congresses are now scheduled to hold nationwide on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
The APC National Convention, a major decision-making gathering for the ruling party, is rescheduled to take place on March 27 and 28, 2026.
However, the party clarifies that Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory will not participate in the scheduled congresses due to forthcoming elections in those areas. Rivers State is also excluded, as the current state executive committee remains in office under a subsisting tenure.
The NWC further announces the constitution of the National Convention Planning Committee, tasked with overseeing preparations and logistics for the convention. The party notes that details regarding the revised congress timetable, schedule of activities, and the composition of the planning committee will be made public in due course.
The statement is signed by Felix Morka, CON, National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, reaffirming the party’s commitment to orderly internal processes and inclusive participation.
