Anthony Joshua is reportedly finalizing a blockbuster heavyweight clash against social media sensation-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Miami before the end of the year.
According to reports, negotiations between the two camps are close to completion, with the fight potentially scheduled for December 9 or 12. Paul was originally set to face American contender Davis this Saturday, but the bout was called off following domestic violence allegations against his opponent.
Joshua has not stepped into the ring since last year’s devastating defeat to fellow Brit Daniel Dubois, who knocked him out in the fifth round, halting Joshua’s bid to reclaim a heavyweight title. The anticipated showdown against Paul offers the former world champion an opportunity for redemption and a return to prominence in the heavyweight division.
