The management of Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has dismissed reports claiming she was re-arrested shortly after her release from the Suleja Correctional Centre, describing the information as false and misleading.
In a statement shared via Okorie’s Instagram story, her management company, The Moving Train Entertainment, clarified that the actress remains free and has fully complied with all conditions attached to her bail.
The statement addressed widespread online reports suggesting that Okorie had been taken back into custody, urging the public to disregard such claims.
“It has come to our attention that certain blogs have reported the re-arrest of singer and actress Angela Okorie,” the statement read. “The management of Angela Okorie hereby clarifies that she is currently free and has not been re-arrested as alleged. Her bail conditions have been met and finalized.”
The management further advised members of the public to rely solely on verified and credible sources for updates concerning the case, stressing that the circulating reports were inaccurate.
Following her release, Okorie also broke her silence on social media, reassuring fans and loved ones that she would address them directly. She expressed gratitude to supporters who stood by her during the period of detention.
“I will speak to my fans and families tomorrow. God bless each and every one of you who showed me love. You all are amazing. Thank you,” she wrote.
Angela Okorie was initially arrested on January 26, 2026, in Lagos and later transferred to Abuja in connection with alleged cyberstalking and cyberbullying. The case reportedly followed a petition filed by fellow Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie.
On January 30, 2026, a Federal High Court in Abuja granted the actress bail in the sum of N5 million, with one surety in like amount.
The matter remains under legal consideration, with Okorie’s team maintaining that she is complying fully with all court directives.
