Brazil national team head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has revealed the two countries he would love to see face off in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is scheduled to take place between June and July 2026.
Ancelotti, who took charge of Brazil earlier this year, said his dream final would be between Brazil and Italy — his native country.
Speaking to newsmen, the veteran Italian tactician said:
“The dream is to make Brazil win the sixth World Cup. There are great expectations, but also great enthusiasm. The fact that they have not won for 24 years weighs heavily.
We hope it doesn’t become 28! We want to win, and we don’t hide it. I would like a final between Brazil and Italy, it would be beautiful for me on an emotional level.”
Argentina are the reigning World Cup champions, having lifted the trophy at Qatar 2022.
