Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has tipped Arsenal to lift the Premier League trophy this season, praising the club’s strong start and balanced squad.
Ancelotti made the prediction during an interview with reporters, expressing his admiration for the Gunners’ progress under Mikel Arteta.
“Who wins the Premier League? Arsenal,” he said.
“I am a fan of the Premier League and I think they started really well. They have built a solid team. Of course I support Arsenal because I have Gabriel. I support Tottenham because of Richarlison. I support the Brazilian players.”
Arsenal’s lead at the summit was reduced to just two points last weekend after suffering a 2-1 defeat away to Aston Villa.
Manchester City capitalised on the slip by delivering a convincing 3-0 victory over Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium, tightening the race at the top of the Premier League table.
