Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has given an update on his squad’s fitness ahead of their Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening at the City Ground.
The Red Devils travel to Nottingham in good spirits after a 4-2 victory over Brighton in their last outing.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Amorim revealed that Lisandro Martínez will not be available for the match despite returning to training.
“He [Martinez] wants to go to this one, he is not going to this one, he is going to take time,” Amorim said.
“He started training with us, but we had to change some things in the exercise for him, so slowly, he is going to get better. He is really good, and he gives us that edge in every training session, and that is also really good for us.”
The Portuguese coach also gave an update on Harry Maguire’s availability, adding that the rest of the squad is fit and ready.
“We have one more day [of training], I don’t know about Harry Maguire. I think the rest is fit,” Amorim added.
