Amnesty International has raised concerns over what it terms as the weaponisation of technology by the government to quell dissidents during the youth-led protests in 2024 and 2025.
The organisation is now calling for the repeal of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crimes Act, calling it a weaponised tool the government is using to clamp down on its critics.
