The family of Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola has formally confirmed her death, putting to rest earlier conflicting reports surrounding her age and circumstances.
In an official statement released through her friend and colleague, actor Rotimi Salami, the family disclosed that Ademola passed away on Saturday night, December 27, 2025, at the age of 49.
The clarification followed initial reports within the entertainment industry that suggested the actress was 43 years old and had died after suffering a heart attack at her residence before being rushed to the hospital. The family’s statement corrected those claims, confirming her age while announcing her passing with what they described as “total submission to the will of God.”
Signed by Adegboyega Adebayo on behalf of the Ademola family, the statement described the late actress as a deeply passionate and gifted creative whose impact spanned acting, singing, filmmaking, and theatre.
According to the family, Ademola was a proud member of the Ademola family of Ogun State and a great-granddaughter of the Alake of Egbaland. The family also expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support received since news of her death broke, thanking colleagues, friends, and well-wishers in Nigeria and abroad for their prayers and condolence messages.
They described the show of love as a major source of strength during a period of deep grief and loss, while praying for peace for the actress’ soul and fortitude for those she left behind.
The family added that details regarding funeral and burial arrangements would be announced at a later date.
