Labour Party’s 2023 vice-presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has criticised former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai over his recent claims that the Federal Government has been paying bandits, insisting that El-Rufai cannot wash his hands off the matter.
Baba-Ahmed argued that as a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a key figure in past administrations, El-Rufai shares responsibility for policies and actions taken under the party’s watch.
According to him, El-Rufai’s allegations cannot be treated as though they came from an outsider, since he was deeply involved in shaping the government that is now being accused of funding criminal elements.
