Akwa United manager Paul Offor has reaffirmed the club’s determination to secure promotion as they prepare to kick off their Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign. Following their demotion from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season, the Promise Keepers are focused on making an immediate return to the top flight.
The Uyo-based side will compete in the Southern Conference B in the new season and are set to open their campaign on Sunday when they host Solution FC. With the new term fast approaching, Offor expressed confidence in the team’s organisation, squad strength, and overall preparedness for the rigorous promotion chase.
“We have a solid team, a clear style of play, and players ready to fight for the badge. Our target is simple — take Akwa United back to the Premier League,” he told the club’s media.
Akwa United’s push for promotion will be closely watched as they aim to restore their NPFL status at the first attempt.
