Jerome Akor Adams and Zaidu Sanusi are expected to arrive in Polokwane on Wednesday (today) as the Super Eagles intensify preparations for Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.
Sanusi, who replaces injured Birmingham City defender Bright Osayi-Samuel, joins Sevilla striker Akor, who earned his first senior team call-up under head coach Eric Chelle. Both players are expected to feature in Wednesday night’s training session.
In the meantime, USA-based midfielder Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi is scheduled to arrive in South Africa on Thursday.
Eighteen players are currently in camp at The Ranch Hotel in Polokwane as the team builds momentum for the must-win encounter at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
