Akinade Onigbinde is on the verge of being appointed as the new head coach of Osun United, a Nigeria National League (NNL) club, following advanced discussions with the team’s management.
Sources reveal that the young and tactically astute coach has already held talks with the club’s hierarchy regarding the vacant managerial role and has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with the Omoluabi Giants.
Onigbinde, who recently resigned from his position at Doma United, is widely respected in the Nigerian football circuit for his impressive record with the Gombe-based club. During the 2022–23 season, he guided Doma United to promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), marking a significant milestone in his managerial career.
With Osun United aiming to return to the NPFL, Onigbinde’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to inject fresh ideas, experience, and ambition into the squad ahead of the new campaign.
