Afrobeats sensation Asake has opened up about his unmarried status, attributing it to his naturally quiet and introverted personality.
In a conversation with Korty EO, the singer explained that his reserved nature and tendency to keep to himself have influenced his romantic life. Despite his rising success in music, he says he hasn’t actively pursued relationships.
“I plan to build a family by the special grace of God. I think about it every day because I am an introverted type of person who does not go out much. I will meet my wife when God says it is time. God has already written how our lives will go,” Asake said.
He stressed the importance of patience and trusting God’s timing in matters of love and marriage. “It is good not to rush things because we do not fully understand His ways. As we are, no one knows tomorrow,” he added.
For now, the singer is focused on his career, with his mother being the closest woman in his life. “For now, my mom is my babe. But when God finally says it is time for me to get married, I will. For now, I am still on the streets,” he joked.
Asake’s candid reflections highlight the balance he maintains between personal life, faith, and a flourishing music career, showing that success doesn’t always coincide with traditional milestones like marriage.
